Careers and Volunteers

Whyalla Aged Care is committed to quality care and customer service in all aspects of our business.

Why work for us?

The staff at Whyalla Aged Care share a common passion – to enrich the lives of the people around us.

Our people are our greatest asset, and we strive to ensure that every day at work is a good day.

We provide flexibility around rosters, ongoing education to build knowledge and skills, and options for on-going career development, depending on your career aspirations.

Working at Whyalla Aged Care provides you with the opportunity to make a positive impact every day and the enjoyment of a long term career in an industry that will give you a great sense of fulfilment, purpose and rewarding memories.

Become a Volunteer

Whyalla Aged Care benefits from the generous support of community volunteers who serve on our Board, help our staff deliver group and individual programs and plan special events and fundraisers.

Volunteer involvement extends our capacity to meet the increasing demands for our services.

Volunteers are provided with training and support in order to carry out their work effectively and are recognised for valuable contributions.

Student Placement

Whyalla Aged Care is committed to supporting this important social objective by offering clinical placements to a variety of aged care and nursing students every year.

Along with clinical placements, Whyalla Aged Care has work experience programs for Secondary School students and Community Service options for schools to participate in.

We provide practical and meaningful work experience opportunities for students within a supportive environment.
